
Zachary Hanson
Zachary HansonĀ is an energy transition finance and investment professional with a diverse background across the private and public sectors. In 2025, he joined the New York Power Authority as Senior Director, M&A and Structuring to help drive NYPAās clean energy build-out across New York State. Prior to NYPA, Zachary was a Vice President at Rabobankāone of the largest renewable energy lenders globallyāwhere he closed $5.8 billion in financings throughout North America and Europe and across technologies, including renewable energy, battery storage, carbon capture, and energy efficiency. Before Rabobank, he worked on energy and core infrastructure investment at InfraRed Capital Partners. Zachary started his career in federal service, including at the United States Department of State where he served as a foreign service officer specializing in energy and economic issues, with his last post at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. Zachary has a masterās degree from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.
