Tara Desai

Tara Desai is a Principal at Crux, working with developers, manufacturers, and clean energy sponsors across capital markets solutions, including tax credit monetization, debt raising, and structured/tax equity. Tara joined Crux in early 2024 after 5+ years at BMO Capital Markets, where she was a founding member of the US Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure group. Prior to BMO, Tara spent 8 years at J.P. Morgan, primarily in the Energy Investment Banking group, covering power generation, utilities, and broader energy infrastructure. 

Tara has a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University and is a CFA charterholder.
