Marc Theisinger

Marc Theisinger is a Managing Director for First Citizens Bank’s Energy Finance unit, where is responsible for overseeing the underwriting of all energy transactions.

Theisinger has held the role of chief energy underwriter for the last 16 years, 13 of which were with CIT Group, which merged with First Citizens in January 2022. During his years at CIT, he also served for a stint as a member of the bank’s Credit Committee.
Prior to taking on his underwriting responsibilities, Theisinger oversaw energy portfolio management from 2008-2010. He began his career with CIT in 1997 and worked for more than a decade in the Trade Finance group in a portfolio and underwriting capacity.

Marc has a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Business and Psychology from the State University of Albany, and holds an MBA from Baruch College.
