Durham C. McCormick

Based in McGuireWoods’ Houston office, Durham McCormick serves as co-lead of McGuireWoods’ renewable energy sector team. His practice focuses on project finance and tax structuring for renewable energy transactions.  Mr. McCormick has a particular expertise with production tax credits (PTC), investment tax credits (ITC), and structuring tax equity investments to monetize these tax credits.

Mr. McCormick regularly writes and speaks on tax equity trends impacting the renewable energy industry.  He has worked on projects in the wind, solar, energy storage, biomass, geothermal and RNG industries.

Mr. McCormick received his B.S. from Willamette University, and earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. He holds a master’s of law in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
