Dave has accelerated energy businesses around the world brining finance and technology to solar projects for over 20 years. He currently serves as a Sir Edmund Hillary Fellow in New Zealand and a UC Berkeley Senior Fellow recognized for his innovative finance and entrepreneurship work. Dave has a history of innovation including recognition as one of Time Magazine’s Innovators of the Year. He has or currently serves various academia, US government, for and non-profits boards in emerging and mature energy markets. Dave graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and started in a highly technical Project Engineer role with Shell Oil. He has had increasing levels of responsibility in roles leading diverse teams as VP of Asset Management, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and Chief Commercial Officer with solar energy businesses around the world.
Real Estate is more than a physical space and is now an active participant in the energy market as a producer, consumer, and grid services provider. Significant investment is required in energy infrastructure but is no longer about building energy bill savings but survivability.
