Dan is a Senior Vice President at Macquarie Capital, where as part of the Green Investment Group, he focuses on Macquarie’s principal investments in the renewable energy sector in the Americas. Key recent transactions include the acquisition and development of a 65MW / 360MWh portfolio of commercial battery storage projects in California, the formation of a national utility-scale solar development company Candela Renewables, a joint venture with a national platform for development of a 2GW pipeline of solar development assets in the US, and Macquarie’s successful acquisition and project financing of the Norte III 900MW in-construction combined cycle gas power plant in Mexico. Prior to relocating to New York in 2015, Dan worked in Macquarie’s London office where he was a member of the Infrastructure Development Capital group, focussing on Macquarie’s principal investments in the EMEA region. Key transactions included the acquisition and project financing of the Teeside Renewable Energy Plant in the UK, the world’s largest new build dedicated biomass power station, as well as Macquarie’s establishment of Navigator Terminals, the UKs largest independent bulk liquid storage owner and operator. Dan earned a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Durham, in the UK.
