I have been working in the renewable energy industry for the past 17 years and in real estate development
for over 25 years. Currently, I work as the Senior Vice President – Renewable Energy at Bank 34. Bank
34 provides loan products for renewable energy developers and small business owners to secure
construction, equipment and term loans for renewable energy projects.
Bank 34 provides project financing and working capital loans to both traditional commercial real estate
assets as well as specialty industries such as renewable energy.
During my career in renewable energy financing, I have financed for over $850M of renewable energy
projects, including solar, energy storage, waste to energy and energy efficiency projects. Specifically, I
have financed the following types of projects:
• utility / commercial / municipal / community solar / residential solar projects;
• acquisition of projects and distress debt or stranded assets;
• energy efficiency and energy storage projects; and
• renewable natural gas and waste to energy projects.
Prior to Bank 34, I worked in as Executive Vice President at AVANA Capital as well as in various
Business Development and Finance roles for both SunPower and SolarCity (Tesla). In additional to
renewable energy, I have a background in energy efficiency and water conservation having served on the
Board of Directors for the U.S. Green Building Council. Moreover, I co-authored and won a $7M
Department of Energy grant focused on reducing peak demand through solar, energy efficiency, demand
response and battery storage for a 200-home community in Nevada.
I have an MBA from UCLA and a Bachelor’s in Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Spanish from North Arizona University.
