Shawn brings over 17 years of experience in renewables and energy storage technologies, construction, financing, and codes and standards. Shawn has provided technical advisory and consulting services, in a variety of roles, to government agencies, public incentive programs, tax equity providers, lenders, independent power producers, and asset owners. Shawn specializes in technical due diligence, owner’s engineering, and quality management for systems ranging from fleets of residential projects through the largest of modern utility scale systems in the European and US markets. Shawn has supported over 7 GW of solar PV and 1.5 GWh of energy storage projects, including reviews of technology, design, major agreements, financial model, construction, commissioning, and operations. Shawn has also performed hundreds of code compliance design and construction reviews of new and operating projects. Shawn has authored numerous papers, trainings, and conference posters related to technical solar and storage topics and is a registered electrical (power systems) engineer in New York State, with a background in applied physics and economics.
