Sebastián is Convergent’s Managing SVP & Deputy General Counsel. Sebastián supports all business units at Convergent Energy + Power and is committed to advancing the clean energy transition bringing over a decade of experience as a transactional lawyer, having advised on projects and transactions in 15 jurisdictions throughout the Americas.  Prior to joining Convergent, Sebastián served as Senior Associate in the Energy Transactions and Projects group at Vinson & Elkins LLP, as Senior Associate in the Projects group at Herbert Smith Freehills, as Counsel at New Fortress Energy and as Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.  Sebastián holds a JD-equivalent degree from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, an LL.M from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
