Cristy Sanada

Cristy Sanada serves as Manager, California Regulatory Affairs at the California ISO (CAISO). She represents the CAISO before state agencies such as the California Public Utilities Commission, the California Energy Commission, and the California Air Resources Board. Cristy previously spent 4 years with the CAISO Department of Market Monitoring, focusing on the operation and performance of storage and demand-side resources.

Prior to joining the CAISO, Cristy spent several years working on electricity market design and market analysis at Pacific Gas and Electric and the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO). Cristy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Southern California.
