Becky Campbell

Director of Government and Market Affairs Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE)

Becky is the Director of Government and Market Affairs for Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE), a growth-oriented U.S. renewable energy company with 22 renewable energy facilities in operation across nine states and 20 GW of projects under development. In this role, Becky oversees the company’s federal and state policy and regulatory efforts as well as the company’s participation in wholesale organized electricity markets.

Prior to LRE, Ms. Campbell led First Solar’s U.S. state government affairs efforts, where she frequently crafted, advocated, and testified in support of market-enabling renewable energy policies before state legislatures and local governments. Becky also previously held roles as the Senior Manager of Research & Advisory Services at the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) and as an Energy Analyst for the Pennsylvania State Energy Office, where she designed and managed the $100 million PA Sunshine solar rebate program and oversaw the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority grant program.

Becky currently serves on the board of directors for the Chesapeake Solar and Storage Association and the Pennsylvania Solar Center and held prior board roles at the Carolinas Clean Energy Business Association and the Coalition for Community Solar Access. She has a B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Penn State University and an M.S.in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
