Iany Ianachkova

Iany Ianachkova was named Senior Vice President in the Macquarie Capital Americas Infrastructure Advisory practice focusing on power, renewables and energy transition, based in NY.

Iany comes to Macquarie Capital after 12 years at CohnReznick Capital, a boutique advisory firm specializing in renewable energy. She brings deep relationships in the renewable energy space, particularly solar and battery energy storage systems, distributed generation, community solar, utility-scale solar and wind, solar and storage, as well as stand-alone storage. Her transaction experience includes asset sales, capital raises, platform M&A and structuring for tax equity and construction-to-term debt.

Deals experience includes:

• Strategic investment for a leading US community solar development securing long-term equity investment across their platform
• Minority equity sale of one the largest standalone battery energy storage assets in CAISO (California Independent System Operator)
• Sale of a privately-owned utility-scale solar and storage developer with a 10GW pipeline to a major independent power producer (IPP)
• Buy-side representation for a global asset manager in the acquisition of a distributed generation solar development platform
• Sale of a majority stake in one of the largest clean energy developers with 30GW under development across wind, solar and storage, to a global leading alternative investment manager.

Iany completed her MBA and Masters’ in International Affairs at Columbia Business School and the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
