Gary Dorris

Dr. Gary Dorris has been a pioneer of innovative solutions for energy planning and asset optimization. His analytic vision to integrate the physical models of production costing with the financial models of energy markets has led to the development of over a dozen software applications used by over fifty energy companies. His has delivered expert testimony resource planning, portfolio management, renewable integration, and asset valuation and recently served as the lead expert for NorthWestern Energy, Public Service of New Mexico, and Hawaiian Electric in reshaping of their energy supply portfolios. Dr. Dorris has lead independent market assessments for the debt financing of over $5 billion dollars of power generation. Dr. Dorris holds a Ph.D. in applied economics and finance from Cornell University and a BS in mechanical engineering and BA in economics with Magna Cum Laude distinction from Cornell University.
