Daniel De Boer

Dan De Boer is a Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure at Greenbacker, where he is responsible for overseeing the Infrastructure Investment team. He joined the company in 2023, bringing 16 years of experience in private equity and renewable energy investing. Prior to joining Greenbacker, Dan served as the Head of Renewables at Allianz Capital Partners of America, where he led all aspects of the investment lifecycle and played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of their sustainable infrastructure platform. During that time and earlier, he successfully acquired and financed GWs of solar, wind, and storage projects, raised substantial private equity funds, and effectively managed investment platforms. Prior to Allianz, Dan spent time developing solar projects with VivoPower International Plc, established Onyx Renewable Partners LP within Blackstone Energy Partners, and launching D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments while part of the D. E. Shaw Group’s private equity team. Dan received an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Yale University.
